Daymon is an education leader, a people & program developer, and a system builder. He has served as a teacher in New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. Most of his career was spent serving Title I schools by building positive culture and establishing programs that work to close the access gaps in education. His signature initiatives have opened windows for students to see beyond their immediate circumstances and to bring world-opening experiences within reach: one-to-one technology to close the digital divide, internships to glimpse the professional sphere, and travel programs for exposure to new cultures and landscapes.
Aside from student-based programs, Daymon serves as an empowering leader who builds cross-functional teams that creatively solve puzzles in education. He is a transformational leader who has led the transition of a traditional public school to a K-8 charter school, as well as the growth of a single-gender middle and high school. Currently, Daymon is researching best practices for optimizing blended learning as a system to create more equity in education. Join him in his effort to change culture, to co-create equity, and to reimagine learning environments where people truly love to be.
